When Evil first announced that he was going to let us coach our teams, I was ecstatic. After all, the only reason my teams sucked before was because they weren’t playing fearthemaskedman brand hockey right? I turned on my xbox this week and feverishly set up my team, I was going to dominate this year. A trap team? With Pavel (I win the selke every year) Datsyuk on it? Ownage!

I set my strategy up and hit sim,…….I won ten games straight,……….then I lost 19 in a row. I kid you not. I finished with a 30-30ish record at about 10th. Or exactly where I was last year (with real nhl teams,..not our guys)

What went wrong? My team was miles better after all the upgrades and new players? Why can’t this sabers team win? On a whim, I decided to set the strategies back to where the CPU had them. 45 wins,….won the cup,…swept the Kings in the finals. Seriously?

That was when I remembered a key fact. The PC hates when you change things? Remember when we did our own lines? You’d have 4 centers over 81 and the PC just HAD to put that 79 RW on your second line over guys 4 or 5 points better? Remember that your team played better when you let them do what they wanted?
I dunno, maybe I’m the crazy one. Maybe Krauzer is going to kill us all with his clog the neutral zone and let Crosby and AO score. Maybe not, time will tell. All I know is on paper, this team should compete. If they don’t,….maybe it’s me and not the PC
