Being a secret, implies that it's not common knowledge. Empty

PostBeing a secret, implies that it's not common knowledge.

So last season I had a pretty good run, and that's obviously putting it mildly.

I captured a half dozen awards and won my first championship in this league in probably 4 years. What's my secret?

I've been saying it for years and it seems sometimes like my constant preaching on the subject are falling on deaf ears. So allow me once again to pontificate.

For those of you who's teams are loaded with 84+ players and you're still in last, team chemistry is and has been for many years the only way to win in this league.

I posted a blog that explained at length how team chem. works and what player types you should look into getting.

Some of you however, have a top six of 4 TWF and PLY and a GRN and you wonder why you can't score any goals.

Worse, I see teams that have a top 12 of almost all 81+ players but refuses to trade a 4th line players for D man even though they're top six D is a couple 80's and mostly 70's. D is just as important to winning.

Basically its like this; I won my cup for one reason; Malkin. He's the one who got me to the dance. Who closed the deal however were guys who scored when my top guys did not. Namely Scott Gomez and M. Rupp. Go back and look at the box scores if you think i'm lying.

IF your team has a bunch of rookies or young players on it, they historically won't score in the playoffs. Poise is the single greatest determining factor for if a player can score goals when it really matters (see; stanely cup finals)

Gomes and Rupp both have poise ratings of 85. Jeff Skinners is 75. Who scored more in the finals?,...........exactly.

If your team is heavy in any one type of player, they won't make the playoffs to begin with.

And if your team has crappy Defensemen, they're probably going to pick first next season .

Easy right?

lol love it fear... Ive tried to live by this as well... It doesnt always work out but I stand by it 100%.
I know fear looked up each and every individual statistic, which at first i thought it was odd, but at the same time, it just shows his dedicated to win. I don't know where you find these stats, but I've always just go with the gut, or me and tommy used to do, is trade the shit out of everybody until something clicks.

Now, to go look for my Michael Grabner...

lol.
Man, I'm so tempted to put PK Subban and Ryan Suter together on the same team. need to test, if i can stack the crap out of the D, and see if it works any good.

Personally, think that D is mostly crap, but here's my chance to prove myself wrong.
Totally agree fear. However it's not as easy doing in than actually saying it lol. Very hard to assemble a team that meshes and stays competitive year after year.

IE: season 1 and 2 of my flames team.

Now I'm not saying super D is instant cup, Carolina's D isn't amazing bit it is functional. One or two 70s on D is ok. 3 or 4, not so much. Also if your forwards can't score you better hope your D can.
