Curious what anyone thinks about the upcoming draft. Here are the top 10. I grouped them in tiers. I really like Ritchie at 8 although he seems like a player Burke would take. Could you imagine him with Monahan? ANy thoughts on the top 10?

ya im so shocked with this as well gagner for purcell im thinking ok that pretty fair for both teams nice then to flip gagner for a 6th and they traded thompson for next to nothing to the ducks too wtf is tampa bay doing?

they better already have a hand shake deal done on the player(s) they want cause to trade gagner away for a 6th round pick on the chance they might sign some UFA's is pretty dumb specially since there is maybe only a half dozen players available i would take over gagner

i like what the GM in montreal is doing though. The talk about trying to move gorges is shitty though PK can only play the way he does and get away with it in large part to gorges, Even shitty for toronto cause he said no to going ot their team they need a guy like him

I wonder what Spezza is worth now. You see all sorts of serviceable guys getting traded for nothing just so teams can clear a bit of cap space, in a year where there's not a lot of options in the ufa market.

the league needs to do something its stupid all these huge 6-8 year contracts and then a season or 2 later the teams just buyout those contracts its a mess

Well teams only have 2 compliance buyouts. Once, that is used, the teams will be in big trouble.
